2003-2006 Graduate School Research

As is the case with most graduate student work, this work evolved rapidly over the course of three years.  I started my graduate school research using a cone 10 porcelain.  After my first semester, I switched to earthenware which I used until the end of the beginning of my third and final year.  At that point, it was imperative that I made pots out of white stoneware and salt-fired them.  That was the beginning of the research that I am still mulling over.  The saturation of decoration also changes quite drastically over the years.  I started 2003 with some crazy, layered surfaces and kept eliminating part of the process to get to root of where I am now.
